Orane to play proactive role at Indiaskills 2018

Date: April 6, 2020

Dear Friends,

It gives us great pleasure to inform that National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)-Approved Training Partner Orane International is playing a proactive role in the staging of the country’s biggest skills competition – Indiaskills – to be held at Delhi’s Aerocity Ground from October 2-6. As part of our continued aim to be associated with all initiatives which are aimed at making the skills culture take deep roots in the country and carry forward the Skill India Mission.

Orane is supporting the industry-led and government-backed Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&W SSC) organize the competition in beauty & wellness to choose the country’s best in the categories of beauty therapy and hair styling through the Indiaskills event. Those who emerge winners at Indiaskills would get the extraordinary opportunity to represent the country in their respective disciplines at the next WorldSkills competition (the globe’s biggest skills competition), to be held at Kazan, Russia, in 2019.

Orane staff and students would also be present in great numbers at the Indiaskills platform to offer any additional help that may be required by the NSDC and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, for successfully conducting the event. Orane Co-Founder & CEO Mr. Dinesh Sood and other members of the company’s top management, too, would be there at Indiaskills to motivate the participants to put in their best at the competition.

Beauty therapy is one category where India had won medallions of excellence at both the previous two WorldSkills competitions held in 2015 and 2017. In fact, we had just narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in beauty therapy at the last WorldSkills organized at Abu Dhabi in 2017.

Given the learnings from India’s participation at WorldSkills events held earlier, and the preparations that have gone in thereafter involving industry leaders, including Orane, we are confident that Indiaskills 2018 would pave the way for a much better show by the country in both the beauty therapy and hair styling domains at WorldSkills 2019.

At Orane, we have always believed in walking the talk. You would be happy to know that in line with this philosophy, Orane has already chalked out a roadmap through which it can engage more deeply with the MSDE, NSDC, and the B&W SSC to ensure that India can win gold medals in both the beauty therapy and hair styling categories at the next WorldSkills. Because for us, nothing but the highest honour would do.
