Orane International is proud to announce its collaboration with the Government of Punjab as a knowledge partner in an ambitious initiative to revamp the educational curriculum for Class 11th and 12th students. Selected from five competitors, Orane is set to play a pivotal role in the “School to Work Program,” a pilot project aimed at bridging the gap between school education and vocational readiness.
More About The “School to Work Program”
The Government of Punjab has earmarked 40 schools for the introduction of new vocational streams as part of this program. These streams include Beauty and Wellness, Digital Design and Development, Healthcare Sciences and Services, and Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI). This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to preparing students for the dynamic demands of the job market.
Why Such Initiatives Are Need of the Hour
As per the ‘India’s Graduate Skill Index: 2023’ report, released by Mercer|Mettl, an online talent assessment company, and exclusively shared with Economic Times, 45% of Indian graduates seeking employment possess the requisite skills and are well-prepared to adapt to the rapidly evolving demands of the industry. It means prioritizing skill training should be the priority of all governments.
In this context, imagine a future where students in Punjab have the opportunity to explore exciting careers in different fields, like banking, finance, beauty, etc.
The possibilities are endless, especially when it comes to the beauty industry, which includes everything from hairstyling and makeup to skincare and holistic therapies. Orane’s already has over 100 beauty schools in India. Every beauty academy in the Orane family has excellent infrastructure and faculty. Our experience of over 15 years will come in handy while working in tandem with the Punjab Government’s “School to Work Program.”
