Geriatric Care Trainer

Location : Chandigarh

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Trainer to lead our comprehensive 3-month course on Geriatric Care. This course is designed for students aged 16-22 with no medical background, aiming to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for providing high-quality care to the elderly population in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric care, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for eldercare.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Course Delivery: Effectively deliver the course content covering Introduction and Basic Care Practices, Health.

B. Management and Supportive Care, and Specialized Care and Professional Development.


C. Curriculum Development: Continuously update the course material to include the latest best practices, research findings, and technological advancements in geriatric care.


D. Practical Training: Organize and oversee practical training sessions, including simulations, workshops, and field visits, ensuring a hands-on learning experience.


E. Student Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.


F. Professional Development: Encourage and guide students towards professional growth and career opportunities in geriatric care.


G. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, eldercare facilities, and community organizations to enhance course content and provide real-world learning opportunities.

Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field.

  1. Master’s degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in geriatric care or elderly support services.
  3. Prior teaching or training experience, especially in healthcare or eldercare settings.
  4. Strong understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of aging.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate. Students.
  6. Familiarity with course development and educational methodologies.
  7. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
  8. Skills Proficient in English and local languages, to effectively communicate with a diverse student body.
  9. Skilled in the use of technology for educational purposes, including digital health platforms.
  10. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage course schedules and resources efficiently.
  11. Empathy and compassion towards the elderly, with a commitment to ethical caregiving practices.
  12. Working Conditions this is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special sessions or field visits.
  13. The role involves both classroom teaching and practical training sessions in various settings, including eldercare facilities.
