How Youth Skills Development is Synonymous to Youth Employment?

Date: July 12, 2019

World Youth Skills Day

In the past decade, Orane International School of Beauty and Wellness has trained over 35000 budding beauticians and helped them acquire skills. Skills in the beauty and wellness domain, as a beauty therapist, cosmetologist, hair-stylist, make-up artist, nail-technician and so on. The end result batch after batch has been the same in our body of work in the past ten years – youth employment.

The core vision of our founders Mr. Dinesh Sood and Mr. Kuljinder Singh Sidhu has been to bridge the gap between the ever-rising demand in the beauty industry in the country and need for skilled beauty professionals.

On World Youth Skills Day 2019, we aim to take this vision ahead with Orane Mission 2020 of training 2,00,000 young beauty professionals. We aim to be the facilitators of transition from school/college to work in the most seamless manner. During this transition phase, our trainees acquire professional skills imparted by industry-trained faculty in world-class classroom setting. Followed by placement assistance that helps in generation of jobs and making the youth self-reliant and capable of supporting their family.

Today the crime rate in the country is rising, the suicide rate amongst youth especially students is rising, the unemployment rate is on an all time high. Lack of awareness about vocational training and job-oriented courses is the primary reason for unemployment in India. The Government of India through its Skill India Mission aims to raise awareness of important of skill development in the youth. It is time for parents to step up in support of their children and stop pressurizing them to follow the rat race of our current education system that does not guarantee employment.

It is time for parents to realize that every child is different and they must hone skills of their children in the field of their interest, in the field that can help them achieve financial freedom while ensuring a respectable career. Parents must facilitate skills in the hands of their wards so that those skilled hands make them self-sufficient for life wherever they go.

This World Youth Skills Day 2019 let’s take the first step towards Youth Skills Development and boost Youth Employment in India. Let’s raise the awareness by sharing/tagging a photo or video of yourself on social media platforms with hashtags #youthskillsdayorane & #WYSD2019. Participate on 15th July 2019 and stand a chance to win Rs.5000/- gift hamper from Orane International School of Beauty & Wellness.
