Makeup, air pollution, and sun exposure do more damage than perceived, to your face. While you have mastered the best makeup hacks, wear a cloth mask on your way to the office, or apply a high SPF sunscreen, morning and nighttime skincare routine is indispensable to stay young and radiant. You can also discuss about your skincare routine with Beauty Expert and get her advise on it.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to your daily morning and night skincare routines that go a little beyond the classic C-T-M (cleansing, toning, moisturising), can fit any budget, and give long-lasting results.

Easy and Effective Morning Skincare Routine:

Step 1
Start by cleaning your face with a cleansing oil, especially if you have used oil-based products the night before. Warm the oil by rubbing it into your palms and massage on your face and neck, taking a minute to absorb and stimulate circulation. Rinse well with warm water and leave the skin slightly damp.

Step 2
Wash your face with a water-based cleanser to keep your skin hydrated. Massage gently and wash your face this time with cold water. Press a washcloth to dab the excess water. Avoid rubbing.

Step 3
Use a toner to lock the open pores (from washing) and seal the natural moisture within. Use your palm to dab it on the skin instead of wiping it with a cotton pad. You can also spray and let it sit.

Step 4
Apply a facial essence, which is typically a concentration of active ingredients that work at a cellular level into the epidermis. Use a very little amount and pat it all over your face and neck. Repeat if you need but don’t overdo it.

Step 5
Apply a face serum to work as a layer between all the nutrients that you applied until now and the external factors like heat, dust, pollution, etc.

Step 6
Moisturising your skin is the most essential part. Use a thin layer of lotion and let it absorb.

Step 7
Sunscreen is a must in the morning before you step out. Apply a small amount on your face, neck, and exposed part of your upper body.

Step 8
You may or may not use a primer unless you are using any makeup or pigmented products.

Step 7
Finish off your routine with a rich night cream to lock in the benefits of the above steps.
