GenderAcademic or Trade Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in geriatric care or elderly support services.
  • Prior teaching or training experience, especially in healthcare or eldercare settings.
  • Strong understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of aging.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate. Students.
  • Familiarity with course development and educational methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
  • Skills Proficient in English and local languages, to effectively communicate with a diverse student body.
  • Skilled in the use of technology for educational purposes, including digital health platforms.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage course schedules and resources efficiently.
  • Empathy and compassion towards the elderly, with a commitment to ethical caregiving practices.
  • Working Conditions this is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special sessions or field visits.
  • The role involves both classroom teaching and practical training sessions in various settings, including eldercare facilities.

Experience Key Responsibilities & Duties:

A. Course Delivery: Effectively deliver the course content covering Introduction and Basic Care Practices, Health.

B. Management and Supportive Care, and Specialized Care and Professional Development.

C. Curriculum Development: Continuously update the course material to include the latest best practices, research findings, and technological advancements in geriatric care.

D. Practical Training: Organize and oversee practical training sessions, including simulations, workshops, and field visits, ensuring a hands-on learning experience.

E. Student Assessment: Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.

F. Professional Development: Encourage and guide students towards professional growth and career opportunities in geriatric care.

G. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, eldercare facilities, and community organizations to enhance course content and provide real-world learning opportunities.
